Matthew is a founding member of Citywalk Christian Church's leadership team in downtown San Diego. He also sits on the Leadership and Development Committee for San Diego Pride. Raised in a conservative evangelical church in North Carolina, Matthew knows firsthand the challenges of reconciling one's faith and sexuality. His passions intersect with a deep love for the Christian Church and a deep appreciation for those who feel condemned by her because of their sexual orientation. He uses his personal story as a means to provide insight to both Christians and LGBT people on why the last thing they should be is enemies.
